Synopsis
In 1915, Rati, an orphan from a humble background, returns to Siam after twenty years. Once raised as a servant’s son, he now works as an interpreter for a French diplomatic mission. Through his new job, he meets Theerathorn, a high-ranking official in the Ministry of Education. Their first encounter soon develops into a close friendship, from which deeper feelings slowly develop.
However, their relationship is fraught with difficulties right from the start. Social differences and the expectations of their surroundings force both of them to hide their feelings. At the same time, their fate is reflected in another relationship: a relationship also develops between the simple worker Mek and the young nobleman Dech, which is threatened by the strict social boundaries of their time. As both couples try to find their own way, the question arises as to whether their feelings are strong enough to overcome the barriers of their society.
