Synopsis

The brother of a fisherman lost at sea is told that his brother is still alive. He steals a boat with two other passengers on board and sets sail. One night, during a storm, they are attacked by the sea monster Ebirah, a giant lobster. The boat sinks, but the passengers manage to save themselves by reaching a small island.

On this island, there is a secret weapons factory belonging to the Red Bamboo militia. Slaves from the surrounding islands are forced to work there. They press a yellow juice from berries that grow on the island. Ebirah is very afraid of this juice. It allows the Red Bamboo militia to navigate the waters around the islands without any problems. When the monster lobster appears, they pour the juice into the water, and it disappears.

Meanwhile, the shipwrecked survivors find Godzilla sleeping as they hide from the militia in caves. Using a copper cable they find, they build a lightning rod and channel lightning into the sleeping Godzilla. He awakens and destroys the weapons factory. But Ebirah is still there, and a battle ensues with the monster from the sea.
