Rie Nishina ist eine Mitschülerin von Tomoyo Okazaki und Nagisa Furukawa und geht in dieselbe Klasse wie ihre beste Freundin Sugisaka. Beide besuchen den Chor-Klub der Schule.

Rie ist eine unglaublich talentierte Musikerin. Sie spielt leidenschaftlich Geige und hat eine bezaubernde Stimme. Sie gewann sogar diverse Preise bei Vorspielkonzerten, nur leider kann sie aufgrund eines Unfalles nicht mehr professionell ihrer Leidenschaft nachgehen. Erst durch die Gründung des Chor-Klubs fasste Rie neuen Mut und konzentrierte sich auf ihr neues Hobby. Sie ist ein wirklich liebes, zurückhaltendes und nettes Mädchen, das ihre geliebte Geige sogar an eine ihr fremde Person (Kotomi Ichinose) ohne zu zögern verleiht.
