Synopsis

Pure Illusion is a bizarre parallel world in which a mysterious object called the “Shard of Mimi” is said to be hidden. It is rumoured that this object has the power to fulfil any wish. The middle school students Papika and Cocona each have a key with which they can open “the door” that leads to this distant realm. In search of more crystal shards, the girls often encounter dangerous creatures where a fight cannot be avoided. With the help of their personal piece of the Shard of Mimi, they then transform into Pure Barrier and Pure Blade, but they’re not the only magically endowed individuals on the hunt for the shards in Pure Illusion – and perhaps not the most powerful right now. If they want to defeat their rivals, they must first learn to synchronise their emotions and work together perfectly.
