Synopsis

After a bitter war, the kingdom of Zol held its own against the hostile Aquafa and now rules over its lands – except for a certain area where wolves roam, which once transmitted the deadly “Black Wolf Fever”. There exists a salt mine where condemned criminals work as slaves, awaiting their end. Among them is Van, a former commander from Aquafa, who once stood up with his soldiers against the overpowering enemy Zol and now has to pay for it for the rest of his life.

One night, the wolves attack the salt mine, and although Van is bitten by them, he manages to escape together with the young girl Yuna, who was also attacked by the wolves. But their plan to flee to the countryside and lead a quiet life there comes to an abrupt end, because the dreaded disease now threatens all of humanity again. And since the two fugitives are the only ones to have survived the fatal bite, the physician Hossal suspects that they can help him defeat this mysterious disease …
