Die Weltuntergangssekte Oumu Shinrikyou hat 1991 ein Anime-Studio gegründet und zehn kurze Episoden über das (angebliche) Leben ihres Anführers produzieren lassen. Wann genau der Anime produziert und veröffentlicht wurde, ist unbekannt. Es ist jedoch anzunehmen, dass das Studio spätestens 1995 geschlossen wurde. Die Sekte ist in Deutschland auch unter den Namen Aum-Sekte und dem heutigen Namen Aleph bekannt und war für die Giftgasanschläge auf die Tokioter U-Bahn am 20. März 1995 verantwortlich.
