Synopsis

Chongming and Qing Xiong, the peaceful demon lords, fear that the human world could soon be plunged into chaos by a demonic attack and, therefore, send their half-human foster son, Kong Hongjun, down to the mortal world. Accompanied by the carp demon Zhao Zilong, Hongjun is to fulfil three tasks: report to the Chang’an Chamber of Exorcists, which deals with the elimination of demons; find out who killed his biological father; and give a heart-light to the descendant of Chen Shiyi. As soon as he arrives in Chang’an, Hongjun gets into a fight with Captain Li Jinglong, who mistakes him for a demon. The vessel of the heart light accidentally breaks and ends up in Li Jinglong’s body. As if that wasn’t bad enough, Hongjun soon realises that Li Jinglong belongs to Chang’an’s exorcist chamber.
