Synopsis

After defeating Samurai Sword, Denji finally seems to have found a brief moment of peace – though nothing in his world stays peaceful for long. With Power recovering from a blood frenzy, Denji is temporarily paired with the eccentric Shark Devil Beam as a partner. As a reward for defeating the Katana Devil, Makima also gives Denji a moment of normality: a movie date that, between boredom and one deeply moving film, makes Denji’s heart truly beat for the first time – and his feelings for Makima even harder to understand.

Soon, however, Makima isn’t the only one capturing Denji’s heart. A sudden rainstorm leads him to an encounter that will change his life: Reze, a charming girl from a nearby café, whose smile enchants him and whose warmth disarms him. Between laughter, late-night swims in the school pool, and stolen glances beneath the fireworks, a tender, almost magical bond begins to form. Yet behind Reze’s eyes lies a secret more dangerous than any devil Denji has faced – and it soon becomes clear that it’s uncertain whether she truly wants Denji’s heart … or the heart of the Chainsaw Devil.
