Amon, que busca vengar la muerte de su madre, llega al castillo del emperador Valhiss. Allí deberá superar los peligros de la iniciación para poder pasar a formar parte del ejército imperial, y así poder continuar su búsqueda de venganza. Pero Amon conoce a la princesa Lichia (la tímida hija del rey Darai Sem). Parece ser que el emperador desea obtener un mapa en posesión del rey a cambio de la princesa. ¿Cuál será el objetivo del emperador?.
