Information

Synopsis

Japan has certainly seen better days. The cities, villages, and roads are little more than ruins, and nature has reclaimed what humans once took from it. Nevertheless, young girls Yoko and Airi have decided to leave the safety of their shelter and embark on a journey through Japan on their solar-powered electric scooter, equipped with a few state-of-the-art gadgets. They visit the places and sights that Yoko’s sister used to travel to and photograph in her vintage car, gather provisions from old army transport vehicles, and bathe in abandoned hot springs alongside the local fauna. Without the distraction of traffic or traffic lights, they enjoy a new kind of freedom after the end of the world and refuse to let the apocalypse spoil their fun.
