Nora (1985)

Nora Scholar is an enterprising young woman staying at the Holiday Inn on the Frontier space station. There, she meets the famous scientist and Mars researcher Dr Zachariasen when the first slight irregularities in the gravitational system occur. However, it is soon discovered that a certain Professor Dohati is behind the incidents. He has developed an AI that is gradually spiralling out of control and threatens to plunge the world into disaster. Nora and the Doctor try to get to the bottom of the phenomenon. They find the distraught professor among the victims, and together, they set off to get into the control room of the AI, which has locked out anyone who might get in its way. Nora, however, seems to have a special connection to it, and it looks like it’s not just flesh-and-blood humans who respond to her charms.

In the second OVA, Nora becomes a bounty hunter and uses her supernatural powers to make life difficult for the enemies of law and order on the planet, Dazzle. This time, it is Fuuchino, who is also endowed with supernatural powers, who is causing trouble as a shape-shifter with his brother and against whom Nora is now fighting to put him in his place.

Nora Scholar ist eine unternehmungslustige junge Frau, die sich im Holiday Inn auf der Raumstation Frontier einquartiert, wo sie auf den berühmten Wissenschaftler und Marsforscher Dr. Zachariasen trifft, als erste leichte Unregelmäßigkeiten im Gravitationssystem auftreten. Bald jedoch stellt sich heraus, dass hinter den Vorfällen ein gewisser Professor Dohati steckt, der eine KI entwickelt hat, die allmählich außer Kontrolle gerät und die die ganze Welt ins Verderben zu stürzen droht. Nora und der Doktor versuchen, dem Phänomen auf den Grund zu gehen. Da finden sie den verzweifelten Professor unter den Opfern vor, und gemeinsam machen sie sich auf den Weg, um in den Kontrollraum der KI zu gelangen, die alle, die ihr in die Quere kommen könnten, ausgesperrt hat. Nora jedoch scheint einen besonderen Draht zu ihr zu haben, und es sieht so aus, als würden nicht nur Menschen aus Fleisch und Blut auf ihren Charme ansprechen.

In der zweiten OVA ist Nora zur Kopfgeldjägerin avanciert und macht auf dem Planeten Dazzle mit ihren übernatürlichen Kräften den Feinden von Recht und Ordnung das Leben schwer. Diesmal ist es der ebenfalls mit übernatürlichen Kräften versehene Fuuchino, der als Gestaltwandler zusammen mit seinem Bruder für Unfrieden sorgt und gegen den nun Nora antritt, um ihn in seine Schranken zu weisen.
