Kim and the ape-man Bao are travelling through the Rido Galaxy and are always on the hunt for valuable treasures. However, when the semi-professional treasure hunters discover something, they have to watch out, because the “Inorganics” are never far away. These cold-hearted creatures have set themselves the goal of destroying all organic life in the entire universe, and it seems almost impossible to stop them. Eventually, Kim and Bao arrive at the once prosperous planet of Aqualoid, which has been turned into a post-apocalyptic wasteland by the Inorganics. The mechanic Rasa and her brother Nam, who has found a mystical sword, are also currently exploring this place steeped in history. What they do not know is that the universe itself is about to enter a new stage of its evolution – and that it is they who will decide the fate of all life.

Kim und der Affenmensch Bao sind auf einer Reise durch die Rido-Galaxie und dabei immer auf der Jagd nach wertvollen Schätzen. Wenn die semiprofessionellen Schatzjäger etwas entdecken, müssen sie jedoch aufpassen, denn die »Anorganischen« sind nie weit entfernt. Diese kaltherzigen Kreaturen haben es sich zum Ziel gesetzt, alles organische Leben im gesamten Universum zu vernichten und es scheint kaum noch möglich, sie aufzuhalten. Schließlich kommen Kim und Bao auf dem einst wohlhabenden Planeten Aqualoid an, der von den Anorganischen in eine postapokalyptische Ödnis verwandelt wurde. An diesem geschichtsträchtigen Ort sind auch die Mechanikerin Rasa und ihr Bruder Nam, der ein mystisches Schwert gefunden hat, momentan auf einer Erkundungstour. Was sie noch nicht wissen: Das Universum ist selbst kurz davor, in ein neues Stadium seiner Entwicklung überzugehen – und sie sind es, die das Schicksal allen Lebens entscheiden werden!
