Synopsis

In the middle of the great plain of Hokkaido, there is a so-called “mecha driving school” where young people from various regions gather to obtain one of the coveted licences as robot pilots. Miraculously, Hikari Touno has been awarded a scholarship despite her limited talent, enabling her to graduate in just 15 days. However, the further the training progresses, the more the students begin to speculate that there is more to the training facility than meets the eye. While they practise with the complicated controls of the giant robots, their instructor also seems to take a special interest in Hikari, even though she is extremely clumsy. When a new pilot named Marie Vlaanderen finally joins the squad, her instructor reveals that Marie has been training all her life and has the best chance of awakening “It” …
