Synopsis

Madoka plays as a substitute keyboardist in a rock band that wants to take part in a talent competition hosted by pop idol Mitsuru Hayakawa. Due to an accident in which their heads collide, Kyousuke swaps bodies with Mitsuru, and each of them goes on a date with the other’s secret crush, giving the two young men new and surprising insights.

“Kimagure Orange Road: Stage of Love = Heart on Fire! Spring Is for Idols” was originally shown as part 1 of the four-part episodic movie “Kimagure Orange Road☆Mogitate Special”, but was later released as episode 1 of 4 of the second OVA package for “Kimagure Orange Road”; it takes place sometime after episode 22 of the TV series, where Madoka is a keyboardist in a band; the two-part story continues in “Kimagure Orange Road: Stage of Love = Heart on Fire! Birth of a Star”.
