Information

Description

The Angels have not yet been defeated, but fortunately NERV can expect backup. The two EVA pilots Asuka and Mari will now support Shinji and Rei in their battle against the Angels for the survival of mankind. But the latter don’t seem to be the only foes that NERV has to deal with. Because another mysterious secret organisation called SEELE seems to be working on a project that is supposed to induce the so-called Third Impact – an event that the characters want to avoid at any cost. Because should this impact happen, life on Earth would once again change dramatically.

Annotation:
Evangelion: 2.22 - You Can (Not) Advance.” continues the story of the preceding film “Evangelion Shin Gekijouban (You Are (Not) Alone)”. Like in the first part, the directors take parts from the “Neon Genesis Evangelion” series, but the template was followed less closely, so that there were changes made, which were not part of the original series and clear the way for an alternative story.

The Japanese cinema release was titled “2.0” and had a running time of 108 minutes. Almost a year later, a revised version titled “2.22” was released on DVD and Blu-ray in Japan. This version has a running time of 112 minutes.

Anmerkung:

Nota:

Nota:
