Description

The plot of the film takes place sometime after the first series, “Dragon Ball”, and before the start of the follow-up series, “Dragon Ball Z”, in which Son Goku meets his brother Raditz. Son Goku is now married to Chichi and has a son named Son Gohan, named after his grandfather. After his defeat in the last major martial arts tournament, Piccolo, Son Goku’s nemesis, trains to kill him in a duel.

A new danger looms when the nasty poison dwarf Garlic Jr. appears on Earth to wish for eternal life with the seven Dragon Balls. His plan succeeds, and he then kidnaps Son Gohan. Garlic Jr. already sees himself as an almighty tyrant, but he hasn’t reckoned with Son Goku. He teams up with Piccolo, and both attack Garlic Jr. together. But how do you win against someone who lives forever?
Die Handlung des Films spielt einige Zeit nach der ersten Serie »Dragon Ball«, aber noch vor dem Beginn der Nachfolgeserie »Dragon Ball Z« und Son Gokus Begegnung mit seinem Bruder Radditz. Mittlerweile ist Son Goku mit Chichi verheiratet und hat einen Sohn namens Son Gohan, der nach seinem Großvater benannt wurde. Nach seiner Niederlage im letzten großen Kampfsportturnier trainiert Piccolo, Son Gokus Erzfeind, um ihn in einem Zweikampf zu töten.

Neue Gefahr droht, als der fiese Giftzwerg Garlic Jr. auf der Erde auftaucht, um sich mit den sieben Dragon Balls ewiges Leben zu wünschen. Sein Plan gelingt und er entführt daraufhin Son Gohan. Garlic Jr. sieht sich schon als allmächtigen Tyrannen, doch er hat die Rechnung ohne Son Goku gemacht. Dieser verbündet sich mit Piccolo und beide greifen gemeinsam Garlic Jr. an. Doch wie soll man gegen jemanden gewinnen, der ewig lebt?
