Synopsis

Charity brings profit – and no one knows this better than Ciel Phantomhive, the young head of the Funtom toy and confectionery company. To mark the third anniversary of his business, he plans a charitable event for orphans – primarily to shine in the eyes of the press. The play of choice? None other than William Shakespeare’s “Hamlet”. But just as the ambitious project takes shape, disaster strikes: the hired troupe of actors is caught in a shipwreck and won’t reach London in time.

Ciel is left with no choice: the show must go on – after all, he’s already poured a considerable sum into advertisements and promotion! Without hesitation, he orders his demonic butler Sebastian to ensure the performance takes place, no matter what. In no time at all, Sebastian assembles a most unusual cast – made up of Ciel’s eccentric household staff, a few close acquaintances, and even the young master himself. But can this ragtag ensemble do justice to the timeless tragedy?
