Synopsis

On the morning of the opening ceremony for the new school year, two encounters await young Kenji Seki, who attends a middle school in the historic coastal city of Kamakura: On the beach, he meets Kahori Harukawa, secretary of the student council and Kenji’s secret crush, and is over the moon when he manages to exchange a few words with her. However, Kenji’s childhood friend Natsuki Suzuura, who is also friends with Kahori, observes the exchange with mixed feelings. Then, on top of a hill, he catches sight of a boy his own age being engulfed by a stream of falling cherry blossom petals as though he knew how to control them. The beautiful sight makes Kenji’s heart beat faster.

A reunion with the mysterious boy from the hill comes sooner than expected: He is named Ryouichi Kyougoku and transfers to Kenji’s school the same morning, where he is assigned to the same class Kenji, Natsuki and Kahori belong to. Ryouichi quickly fits into the class and immediately attracts Kahori’s attention. At the same time, however, there are more and more strange occurrences in and around the school. Only Kenji appears to be immune to the mysterious influence that spreads among his schoolmates. Soon he must ask himself who Ryouichi really is and what he plans to do with the school …
