Synopsis

Sakamichi Onada is an effeminate freshman at high school. He has no real circle of friends, a shyness of girls and a great preference for anime series. Actually, he wanted to join the anime club and make new acquaintances there, but unfortunately, it was dissolved and searching for new members is difficult. Meanwhile, Shunsuke Imaizumi, who wants to join the school’s own cycling club, notices during his training on the steep incline to school that Onoda can cover long distances and steep mountain rides almost effortlessly despite his clunky city bike. Together with his classmate Shoukichi Naruko, he convinces Sakamichi to join the school’s cycling club shortly afterwards. Sakamichi, who initially underestimates the hard training, discovers his hidden talent during the preparation for an upcoming race and finds friends and like-minded people through the sport over time.
