Naomi Misora ist eine Agentin beim FBI und die Verlobte von Ray Penbar, ebenfalls FBI-Agent. Sie hat schon früher unter Leitung von L in der BB-Mordserie gearbeitet, diesen Fall hat sie ganz allein aufgeklärt. Auch ist sie eine Bewunderin von L, doch hat sie ihn noch nie selber gesehen. Wegen eines Vorfalls ist sie allerdings momentan vom Dienst beurlaubt und ist erstmal nach Japan zurückgekehrt. Sie ist überaus sportlich und trotz dieses einen Vorfalls eine der besten FBI-Agenten. Sie allein bringt im Fall Kira eine große Wende und sie hat sich vorgenommen ihren Verlobten zu heiraten.
