Dot Barrett ist ein Schüler im ersten Jahr an der Magieakademie Easton. Seine ältere Schwester ist Malta Barrett.

Dot ist heißblütig und kann ziemlich unausstehlich sein. Er stellt sich stets in den Mittelpunkt und verabscheut »heiße Kerle«. Zudem versucht er ständig, andere zu übertrumpfen, aber im Grunde hat er das Herz am rechten Fleck. So gesteht er seine Fehler ein, die ihm durchaus leid tun. Weibliche Ablehnung ist ihm jedoch sehr unangenehm und bringt ihn komplett aus der Fassung.

Als Kind musste ihm seine ältere Schwester immer helfen, weil Dot sehr unterwürfig und anfällig für Mobbing war.
