Dass Reinhard von Lohengramm sein Vorgesetzter sein soll, kann er nicht so einfach akzeptieren, es scheint nämlich so, dass er diesen Rang nur hat, weil er ein Aristokrat ist. Er kann also nicht anders, als Reinhard anfangs zu misstrauen, denn immerhin hängt das Leben aller Insassen von ihm ab, damit er ihm vertrauen kann, muss er sich also erst einmal vergewissern, dass Reinhard auch vertrauenswürdig ist. Auf dem Schiff ist auch noch sein kleiner Bruder Rolf stationiert, welcher seinem großen Bruder öfter mal durch seine hektische Art Probleme bereitet. Zaidel ist kein schlechter Mensch, wenn man ihn als Freund hat, dann kann man sich sicher sein, dass er einen auch immer unterstützen wird.
