Der Verlust der jungen Frau Ritsuko ist besonders für ihre Eltern und ihren Mann sehr schlimm gewesen. Dabei war sie eine glückliche und fröhliche Frau, stark genug um ihren lebendigen und etwas aufgedrehten Mann aufzuhalten und mit ihm eine Familie zu gründen. Doch sie konnte leider niemals erfahren, wie sich so eine Familie anfühlt, da sie bei Kouichis Geburt gestorben ist. Ein wenig ihres Geistes scheint in ihrer Schwester Reiko weiter zu leben, da die beiden besonders optisch viele Gemeinsamkeiten hatten.
