Eine junge Nonne, die in der ältesten Kirche von Amsterdam arbeitet. Hier wird sie Zeuge eines grausigen Vorfalls und muss fortan um ihr Leben fürchten. Glücklicherweise trifft sie auf einen schweigsamen, aber dafür sehr hilfreichen Fremden. Trotz ihrer Angst wirkt sie entschlossen und ist durchaus in der Lage in passenden Momenten über ihren Schatten zu springen und wahrhaftig Mut zu beweisen.
