Wie so viele Jugendliche verbringt auch Itou im Sommerferienlager seine schulfreie Zeit. Hier verliebt er sich auf der Stelle in Nao Morisawa, deren Gunst er fortan versucht für sich zu gewinnen. Konkurrenz sieht er im älteren Yoshihiro Matsunaga, der für sie als Betreuer fungiert. Itou besitzt einen recht unbeherrschten Charakter; dass Nao kaum Augen für ihn, stattdessen umso mehr für Yoshiro hat, bringt ihn geradezu in Rage und man merkt förmlich wie Wut und auch Aggressivität bei ihm steigen, wenn er wieder einmal erfolglos um Nao wirbt.
