Zunächst bekommt Haruka gar nicht mit, wie ihre Mutter aufgrund von gewissen Ereignissen zu leiden hat. Erst als sie bemerkt, dass ihre Mutter immer apathischer und auch sie das erste Mal Opfer von Mobbing wird, beginnt es in ihr zu dämmern. Die Situation verschlimmert sich fortan von Tag zu Tag, sodass sie bereits fürchtet, dass ihre ganze Familie daran zugrunde gehen wird, bis es zum Äußersten kommt. Zwar weiß sie von wem das Ganze ausgeht, doch aus welchen Gründen das geschieht, ist ihr anfangs ein Rätsel. So sucht sie den Kontakt zu Hell Girl, aber nicht etwa um Rache zu üben, sie will einfach wissen, warum diese schrecklichen Dinge mit ihnen passieren.
