Shigeno macht oft einen kühlen, entschlossenen Eindruck, wenn sie in ihrer Eigenschaft als Detektivin Untersuchungen anstellt, versteht bei Nachforschungen aber auch genauso ihre Reize einzusetzen um die Zunge eines Zeugen oder Informanten zu lockern. Sie hat ein ziemliches Temperament, das schnell in Rage versetzt wird, wenn man sie provoziert oder auch nur ärgert, wie Tomoe das gerne schon mal tut, indem sie gegen ihre im Vergleich zu den anderen weniger ansehnliche Oberweite stichelt. Shigeno fordert das meist selber heraus, weil sie in Richtung Tomoe genauso wenig den Mund halten kann, so dass sie sich gelegentlich wie zwei wütende Hunde gegenüberstehen, obwohl sie sich ansonsten gut verstehen.
