Ciruela gehört zu Hewies Einheit, dem Siebten Kreuzritter-Korps. Sie wird von dem Gedanken an Rache für ihre Mentorin und Freundin Seria beherrscht, die im Krieg den Tod fand. Nur deren Schwert erinnert sie noch an sie und an ihre Pflicht, für ihren Tod Vergeltung zu üben. Sie plagen immer noch Alpträume deswegen, weil sie die Vergangenheit nicht loslässt. Ihr eigenes Leben bedeutet ihr wenig, so dass sie bereitwillig eine Mission annimmt, die einem Selbstmordkommando gleichkommt. Es bedarf der mahnenden Worte eines Feindes, dass sie den Wert des Lebens wieder zu schätzen lernt und nicht länger ihre ganze Existenz in den Dienst einer Toten stellt. Danach kann sie auch endlich ehrlich mit ihren Gefühlen für Hewie umgehen, den sie schon immer bewundert hat.
