Shinzou Nezu ist Vorsitzender und zugleich Inhaber der Nezu-Gesellschaft.
Auf der Insel Koyakejima (小宅島) eröffnete er vor einem Jahr ein Hotel, zu dessen Jubiläumsfeier sich Kaitou Kid angekündigt hat – jedoch um den Edelstein „Die Träne der Artemis“ an sich zu nehmen. Da Herr Nezu Wert darauf legt, mit seinen Gästen ungestört das Jubiläum feiern zu können, bittet er die Polizei diskret zu bleiben, um unnötigen Aufruhr zu vermeiden.
