Vanessa ist die Schwester von Virgil Walsh und Anführerin einer terroristischen Gruppierung von Vampiren, die versucht das Ghetto von Londonium aufzulösen und die dort befindlichen Methuselah zu befreien. Um dieses Ziel zu erreichen plant sie Papst Alessandro zu entführen und so die Freiheit zu erkaufen.

Im Gegensatz zu ihrem Bruder, der für eine friedliche Lösung einsteht, ist sie sehr temperamentvoll, leicht reizbar und ziemlich dickköpfig, dazu bereit jede Gefahr in Kauf zu nehmen, um ihre Ziele zu verwirklichen. Im Grunde ist sie aber eigentlich gar nicht so böswillig wie sie tut.
