Als Sohn des hochangesehen Sadaichi Tamo, übernimmt auch Sadafumi innerhalb des Dorfes die Rolle einer Führungsperson im Kampf gegen die Shiki ein. Zusammen mit Hasegawa und anderen Dorfbewohnern, kämpft er innerhalb der Kanalisation Sotobas gegen die bestehende Gefahr. Im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Bewohnern, sieht Sadafumi die Shiki nicht als ehemalige Freunde und Bekannte, sondern viel mehr als Monster, welche mit allen möglichen Mitteln getötet werden müssen. Dieser Hass resultiert daraus, dass die Shiki seinen Vater Sadaichi rücksichtslos töteten und er daraufhin jeglichen untoten Geschöpfen Rache schwor. Seine auffälligsten Merkmale sind die dunkelblaue Kappe und sein lang gewachsener blonder Kinnbart.
