Homuras ehemaliger Lehrer ist der Grund, warum sie sich den dunklen Shinobi anschloss: Sie hatte ihm blind vertraut, bis sich herausstellte, dass er selbst ein Ninja ist, der gezielt die Nachkommen von rechtschaffenen Shinobi-Familien ausfindig macht, um sich erst ihr Vertrauen zu erschleichen und sie dann zu eliminieren. Weil Homura ihn anscheinend in Notwehr getötet hat, schied für sie der Weg an die Hanzou-Akademie aus, weil dort nur Studenten mit sauberer Weste angenommen werden.
