Kanako ist die Nichte vom Bürgermeister, auch wenn das Tsukune-chan anfangs nicht so recht glauben mag und die Geschichte doch argwöhnisch beäugt. Sie stellt sich als großer Fan von Magie und Zauberei heraus und wünscht sich nichts sehnlicher als genauso wie Tsukune-chan eine Hexe zu werden. Da das leider unmöglich ist, verleiht Tsukune-chan ihr und ihrem Onkel zumindest temporär die Möglichkeit zum Zaubern. Statt den Menschen aber bei ihren Problemchen zu helfen, hat Kanako nur ihren eigenen Spaß im Kopf.
