Als Kommentatorin des Schönheitswettbewerbs und des Ritterturniers nimmt Shinonome an der Winford Akademie eine wichtige Rolle ein. Denn vor allem das Turnier ist eine bekannte und gut besuchte Veranstaltung, die durch ihre euphorischen Kommentare zu den Vorgängen auf dem Turnierplatz geprägt wird. Und auch wenn sie hervorragende Arbeit leistet, so lässt sie sich doch schnell etwas einreden, beispielsweise von Bertille, die so Mio zu einem neuen Spitznamen verhilft. Nebenbei ist sie auch ein riesiger Fan von Celia, und sobald diese den Veranstaltungsort betritt, sorgt Shinonome persönlich dafür, dass auch wirklich keine ihrer Bewegungen der Menge entgeht.
