Sugiuchi ist ein Klassenkamerad von Inori. Im Gegensatz zu allen anderen hat er sie nie ausgegrenzt, sondern immer ganz normal behandelt. Als sie nun vollkommen „generalüberholt“ in der Schule auftaucht, kommt ihm das zwar reichlich merkwürdig vor, aber trotz der äußerlichen Veränderungen sieht er in ihr immer noch die Inori, die er kennt und mag, auch wenn er ihr das nie deutlich gesagt hat. Neben den physischen Änderungen scheint Inori aber auch deutlich offenherziger geworden zu sein, weil sie ihn kurzerhand verführt. Sugiuchi ist davon ziemlich überrumpelt, aber auch glücklich, macht sich im Nachhinein aber schwere Vorwürfe, weil er glaubt, er wäre zu weit gegangen. Er ahnt natürlich nicht, dass für Inoris sonderbares Verhalten ihr neuer außerirdischer Bekannter verantwortlich ist...
