Placido Russo ist der Pate der Russo-Familie und zugleich der Onkel von Ladd Russo. Die meiste Zeit verbringt er hinter seinem Schreibtisch und gibt Anweisungen, dabei macht er sich das psychopathische Verhalten seines Neffen zu Nutze, wobei er ihn aber eigentlich für einen vollkommenen Idioten und Irren hält. Allerdings hat er auch Angst vor Ladd, da er doch ziemlich unberechenbar agiert.
