Hikari musste in jungen Jahren schon mit einen schweren Schicksal zurecht kommen, denn der Tod seiner geliebten Mutter traf ihn schwer und so hatte er nur noch seine Schwester, die sich aber liebevoll um ihn kümmerte. Doch auch mit seinen Freunden Manaka, Kaname und Chisaki ist er schon seit der Kindheit befreundet.
