Kobeni Yonomori ist eine verantwortungsbewusste Sechzehnjährige, die an ihrem Geburtstag plötzlich ihren Verlobten Hakuya vorgesetzt bekommt. Zu allem Überfluss zieht dieser mit seiner Schwester Mashiro auch noch bei ihr ein. Zunächst ist sie mit der Situation überfordert, wehrt sich aber nicht dagegen und gewöhnt sich schnell an die neuen Gegebenheiten. Da ihre Mutter einen sehr einnehmenden Beruf hat, kümmert sich Kobeni um den Haushalt und ist eine hervorragende Köchin. Aufgrund eines Unfalls in ihrer Kindheit, der bei ihr eine Narbe hinterlassen hat, kann Kobeni sich an bestimmte Teile ihrer Kindheit nicht erinnern, außerdem hat sie mit einer kränklichen Konstitution kämpfen.
