Shiori Minamino ist Shuuichis freundliche und liebevolle Mutter. Sie kennt die wahre Identität ihres Sohnes nicht. Für sie ist er einfach ihr geliebter und einziger Sohn Shuuichi, für den sie alles tun würde.

Sie hat schlimme Narben an beiden Armen. Sie stammen davon, dass sie Shuuichi als kleinen Jungen vor einem fatalen Sturz rettete und dadurch selbst respektive ihre Arme unter ihm in den Scherben lagen und stark bluteten. Dennoch lächelte sie ihn an und sorgte sich nur um sein Wohlbefinden und fragte ihn, ob ihm auch nichts weh täte. Diese Szene resp. ihr Lächeln brannte sich in Kuramas Gedächtnis.
