Akiho Maya ist eine der Kadetten der Amaterasu und Teil des Navigationsteams. Sie schließt sich ebenfalls dem Widerstand gegenüber dem Königreich Henrietta an, nachdem ihr Heimatplanet Kibi von diesen angegriffen und übernommen worden ist.

Meistens hängt sie zusammen mit Renna herum. Sie ist lebenslustig und hat tierischen Spaß am Shoppen oder mit irgendwelchen Männern zu flirten, dabei versprüht sie eine recht quirlige Verhaltensweise. Ähnlich wie Yukino ist ihr anfangs die bedrohliche Lage, in der sich die ganze Crew befindet noch nicht vollends bewusst.
