Akane Asahina ist High School-Studentin im ersten Jahr und Klassenkameradin von Kouta; sie sitzt am Pult genau vor ihm. As Klassensprecherin sieht sie es als ihre Pflicht an, auf die Einhaltung von Zucht und Ordnung zu achten, weswegen sie Chizurus öffentliche Schamlosigkeit permanent auf die Palme bringt.

Sie sorgt sich ernsthaft um Kouta, macht ihn allerdings für das unzüchtige Verhalten Chizurus auch mit verantwortlich, da seine schüchterne Art auf Frauen anziehend wirke. Sie selbst bemerkt dagegen überhaupt nicht, dass Chizurus Bruder Tayura sich für sie interessiert.
