Als kleines Kind war Hibiki ziemlich schüchtern und hatte kaum Freunde. Nachdem Ren in ihre Nachbarschaft zog, freundete sie sich nach und nach mit ihr an. Allerdings fiel es Hibiki aufgrund ihrer Schüchternheit zunächst schwer Ren zu vertrauen. Erst als sich Ren, als Zeichen ihrer Freundschaft, ihre langen Haare ab schnitt, fing Hibiki an ihr zu vertrauen und ist seither auch immer an ihrer Seite.
