Die Waise Resine de Poisson ist ein gutes und wohlerzogenes Mädchen und wirkt beinahe, wie ein blonde „Puppe“. Gegen den Willen ihrer ihr gegenüber gleichgültigen Tante, bei der sie lebt seit ihre Eltern gestorben sind, entscheidet sie sich dafür, sich im selben Mädcheninternat einzuschreiben, das auch ihre Mutter besuchte. Da dieser Transfer sehr spät im Schuljahr geschieht, muss sie sich ein Zimmer mit der Schuldelinquentin Simone teilen, vor der sie eindringlich gewarnt wird. Resine hat Schwierigkeiten, sich an das Leben im Internat zu gewöhnen und muss sich auch noch ein Zimmer mit Simone teilen, der rebellischen Tochter einer berühmten Schauspielerin, die ihr das Leben schwer macht, wo sie nur kann und dafür sorgt, das Resine sich nicht willkommen fühlt und jede Gelegenheit nutzt, um ihr Probleme zu bereiten und sie zu hänseln. Bedauerlicherweise für die Schulleitung bleibt das Verhältnis zwischen Resine und Simone jedoch nicht so angespannt …
