Playmaker ist Yusakus Avatar in LINK VRAINS. Mit diesem Avatar stellt sich Yusaku den Rittern Hanois entgegen und versucht so, die Geschehnisse um den „Lost-Vorfall“ aufzudecken und so seine verlorene Zeit zurück zu bekommen. Dank Ai, der K.I., welche er eingefangen hat, bekam er die spezielle Fähigkeit Cyberse Link-Monster aus den immer wieder auftretenden Datenstürmen zu ziehen, welche in LINK VRAINS sehr oft auftauchen. Diese Fähigkeit kann er einmal während eines Speed Duells einsetzen, wenn seine Lebenspunkte unter 1000 fallen. Sein Deck besteht aus Cyberse-Monstern, was ihn wiederum als eines der Opfer des „Lost-Vorfalls“ kennzeichnet, denn nur die Kinder, die in den Vorfall verwickelt waren, können diese Karten nutzen.
