Itsuki stößt als letztes Mitglied zur SOS-Brigade. Er hat stets ein Lächeln im Gesicht, egal wie ernst die Lage ist. Er drückt sich stets sehr höflich und besonders formell aus. Seine unerschütterliche Gemütsruhe bringt Kyon des Öfteren an den Rand der Verzweiflung.

In Wirklichkeit ist Itsuki ein Esper, der für eine geheime Organisation arbeitet, die gegen so genannte Shinjin ( jap.: 神人; bedeutet soviel wie gottgleiche Person ) kämpft um die Menschheit zu schützen.
