Narumi kam in der Vergangenheit durch ihre Mitschülerin Kanata zum Beachvolleyball-Sport. Erst etwas misstrauisch, aber mit der Motivation von Kanata viel es ihr immer leichter. Sie werden schließlich Partnerinnen und bauen eine starke Bindung zueinander auf, hier merkt man auch, dass Narumis Persönlichkeit sich mit der Zeit stark verändert hat, zwar war sie auch schon in der Vergangenheit eine recht schüchterne Person, aber sie strahlt nun viel mehr Fröhlichkeit aus als ihre ältere Version.
