Er ist ein guter Freund und Teamkollege von Kazuya. Er ist der Catcher (Fänger) an der Meisei Oberschule und hat zu Beginn sehr viele Vorteile gegenüber Tatsuya, besonders im Vergleich zu seinem Bruder Kazuya. In seinem zweiten Jahr wird er Mannschaftskapitän. Er ist ein »großer Esser« und wird gelegentlich daran erinnert, etwas weniger zu essen.

Caro amico di Kazuya non che suo compagno di squadra. E il ricevitore della Meisei High School e inizialmente tende a guardare a Tatsuya con molto pregiudizio, specialmente se paragonato al fratello ossia Kazuya. Al secondo anno diventa capitano della squadra, e un gran mangione e ogni tanto gli viene ricordato di mangiare un po di meno.
