Hana ist die Frau von Eizo und damit die Schwägerin von Senji. Außerdem ist sie Mutter von zwei Kindern. Sie ist recht hartherzig und wünscht sich den Tod ihres Schwagers, da sie diesen als Last für die Familie sieht. Außerdem scheint Hana recht streng zu ihren Töchtern zu sein, kann sich aber bei diesen nicht durchsetzen. Die beiden weist sie an, nicht in die Nähe ihres Onkels zu gehen, da Hana davon ausgeht, dass seine Krankheit ansteckend ist. Auch gegenüber ihrem Mann nimmt sie kein Blatt vor den Mund und zeigt ihm ihre Abneigung gegen Seji, indem sie diesen als stinkend, scheußlich und übellaunig bezeichnet. Selbst als Eizo sie auf die verwandtschaftliche Beziehung hinweist, zeigt Hana kein bisschen Einsicht.
