Der auf den Rollstuhl angewiesene Doktor Denehee praktiziert in einer Hütte weitab der nächsten Stadt, wohin sich nur selten jemand verirrt. Außer seiner Assistentin Marie hat er daher kaum Gesellschaft, es deutet aber auch einiges darauf hin, dass er kein gewöhnlicher Arzt ist, sondern Kontakt mit The Claw oder seinen Verbündeten hatte bzw. generell Kenntnis von der Existenz genetisch rekonstruierter Menschen hat, wobei er selbst aber keinerlei Partei bezieht. Seine medizinischen Mittel in der Abgeschiedenheit sind dürftig, aber mit seiner Erfahrung benötigt er auch nicht zwangsläufig Instrumente, um eine korrekte Diagnose zu stellen.
