Description

Once Shohi was Chosa’s lover and blessed with unearthly beauty – the circumstances of her disappearance, which caused Chosa to fall into deep despair, are not known, but the fact is that she is held captive by Shikara in a darkened room within his castle. Only the sound of her flute echoes through the long corridors. Her only regular visitor is Shikara, who regards her as his possession.

It is also unknown whether Shikara is responsible for her condition: her former beauty can only be guessed at, as the entire right side of her body is hideously disfigured and overgrown with a greenish tangle. The outward mutation has also broken her spirit, to which Shikara may have contributed significantly, reminding her again and again with a sneer that no man would ever look at her again.
